~ Matty ~

Matty came to live with me at WillowVale Park as an older stallion, he had been shown very successfully by his breeder, Wendy Saunders & then sold to the Atherton Tablelands to be used as a competitive endurance horse & sire.

I first took an interest in Matty due to the fact that I had come to owning two of his progeny, a beautiful bay gelding, Willowmead Koda Chi & a gorgeous bay filly, Believe.

Both these horses were of very quiet temperament to match that of the Allira Park horses that I already had.

After I owned these two horses I had the chance to meet Matty & loved him on first sight. I would visit him every year I was up at the Tablelands, until one day the offer was made for me to own him.

Of course that was an offer I couldn’t refuse and in late 2009 Mahtrix came to join the Allira Park herd. Matty has proven to be an awesome outcross for the Allira Park mares throwing some absolutely gorgeous babies with movement, that stunningly beautiful Arabian head (broad between the eye’s and a muzzle to fit into a tea cup) and best of all they all have a double dose of an extremely good temperament!

Matty’s pedigree is one of high class having Chip Chase Desert Wind, Cherokee Mecca, Bay Hallany, Aswan & Nazeer in the line up.

He has achieved many first’s & Champion placings as a young stallion in the show ring as well as Supreme Exhibit from a class of 15 others, judged by Gail Iskra from Brisbane.

In the endurance scene Matty went on to become an open log book horse with great heart rates & recovery times.

Once he became apart of the Allira Park family, he has continued with light endurance riding, dressage, jumping and mustering.
